You’re not alone, 1 in 3 women experience urinary incontinence after childbirth! Many women feel shame and embarassement but I’m here to tell you there is SO much you can do! You no longer need to put up with it or suffer in silence.
The standard advice for far too long to help women with urinary incontinence has been to do kegels and this is doing many women a disservice.
In my experience, if something is boring, it’s not getting done and that’s what most of my clients tell me about kegels.
That was one of my main motivations for creating Diastasis Done Differently. A program that not only works but that women find enjoyable. A program the focuses on your body as a whole, rather than isolating certain muscles. Everything is connected and therefore we must treat exercise in the same way.
Remember, it is never too late to make a change and take the necessary step to stop urinary incontinence. You don’t need to put up with leaking.
What you need is the right strategy and method to get a strong core and pelvic floor. Without a plan many women end up doing harmful exercises that are too high impact and this can further exacerbate your symptoms.
It doesn’t matter how long ago you had your last baby, or how long ago you had a fitness regime, the important thing is to start and to stay consistent. I’m here to help you with that…cheering you along!
